The purpose of this project is to find a better bike design. A bamboo bike would be lighter than a standard aluminum bike, making it easier to move in and out of storage. Also, seeing as bamboo tends to grow quite quickly, and is a renewable resource, it would be easier to obtain materials for production, on top of being better for the environment. As a bike, our design would also be inherently more eco-friendly than cars. The picture below is a good representation of what the group is trying to replicate for this project.
